Crystal Hilsley was raised by a vegetarian nurse for a mother. You could say I had an advantage but as we all know the daughter of the pastor is the most deviant. My mom tried every trick in the book to get me to eat whole foods. I'd hide them in my napkin or try to feed them to my cat. I'd save my piggy bank funds and buy junk from the corner store and hide it in my closet to binge when I was left on my own, which was often as I was raised by a single mom. I remember telling my mom on a trip to the grocery store “I can't wait to grow up and have kids of my own, I'm going to let them eat twinkies and ding-dongs whenever they want”. HA!!

Fast forward and I am a mother to a little girl who is trying to pull the same tricks I did. One of my favorite mantras I live by is: "A strong woman looks at a challenge dead in the eye and gives it a wink." So bring it on my mini, I love watching you try to pull one over on me.

My journey is and always will be in the works and I love learning by listening to the cues by body gives me. I most certainly did not always take the phone calls though; I suffered from chronic sinusitis for nearly a decade, I would get a cold every season, I have scoliosis and a broken tail bone, I had candida and leaky gut syndrome which lead to malabsorption and lastly a severe case of adrenal fatigue. With the exception of the bone issues I can proudly say that all of these things were healed by whole foods, a few amazing supplements, finding a posse of healers along the way, determination, and some good fierce love for myself. I practice yoga and pilates regularly to keep my spine flexible; top that off with a good spin class and chasing a mini me who is just as active as I am and you've got the basis of me sucking the marrow out of life on the daily.

As a holistic health coach with a degree in Psychology, my true passion is uncovering what works for you. That's different for each and every person. Whatever your story, blocks or challenges; the journey in discovering how we can collectively get you humming the theme song to your victory dance is what excites me. Straight up.

Programs:
No matter where we go from here we need to have a chat first. A free 20 minute phone call will easily determine what we can do together. Then fill out some info for me on the forms and i'll be ready to hit the ground running when we meet live.

Wellness Makeover - I roll up my sleeves and grab your hand taking that first step with you. We begin in your kitchen to get our bearings, then we navigate the outer sections of the grocery store together (where all the good stuff is) or even meet at a local farmers market and go over an actual meal plan. Something you can truly connect with and be excited to get stuck in to. Thereafter we talk on a weekly basis via video conference, the phone or in person (my favorite).

Wellness Tips

  • Take out gluten and dairy.
  • When you wake-up in the morning “say” what you’re thankful for. Start the day off in complete and pure gratitude.
  • Drink plenty of water. Have some really good probiotics and omegas fish oil.
  • Try one of my Crystal’s recipes.
  • People need to think for themselves. Stop following the crowd and do what’s right for you.
  • A strong woman looks at a challange dead in the eye and gives it a wink. ~ Gina Carey
